Conducted on spring-loaded Pilates reformers, Fitness Pilates classes target specific muscles in short but effective bursts, resulting in stronger and more defined muscles. James is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Evado Studios Thornbury and is passionate about giving all Evado Studios clients the belief and confidence they can take their health to the next level.

James enjoys working with individuals of all levels and ages in the prevention and management of injuries, in particular those with ongoing spinal pain. He has undergone extensive Clinical Pilates training and along with ensuring accurate diagnosis, he has an emphasis on individualised rehabilitation programs involving Clinical Pilates and Clinical Strength. He believes exercise has a vital role to play in ensuring recovery from the initial injury through to achieving long term goals. He also enjoys working with post-operative patients to aid in their recovery and return to optimal health and performance.

James is currently the Physiotherapist for the Darebin Falcons VFLW side. He has previously been involved with the Melbourne Storm National Youth League Team, Hawthorn Magic Basketball and Hawthorn Amateur Football Club, along with playing football at TAC Cup and VFL level.

Tom graduated from La Trobe University with a Master of Physiotherapy Practice and Bachelor of Health Science.

Tom’s keen interest in physiotherapy originated from his lifelong passion for sport, encountering his own injuries while playing football and basketball.  This resulted in a large amount of time spent on the physiotherapy table himself as a patient.

Tom has experience in dealing with a wide range of musculoskeletal and sport injuries both in their acute and chronic forms.  He enjoys working collaboratively with all his patients to achieve their health and fitness goals through the latest evidence-based techniques.  Tom recognises the importance in educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery, using individualised exercise programs and Clinical Pilates in the studio.

Tom has acquired valuable experience in injury prevention and management while working as the Physiotherapist for the Sandringham Dragons in the AFL NAB League and De La Salle in the VAFA.

Emma has been teaching Yoga, Barre, Mat Pilates & Reformer Pilates since 2018. She has always been enthusiastic about helping others, working as a nurse in the UK before moving to Australia.

Emma aims to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable while ensuring a tough workout suitable for all fitness levels. She is always happy to discuss questions, concerns or injuries you may have before or after class.

Passionate about moving, when she is not instructing classes you can find her hanging out with her Border Collie at the park, playing tennis or baking vegan treats.

Seb has worked as a Personal Trainer since 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed connecting with each of his clients whilst working hard towards their goals. Since completing his Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) he has worked with athletes at Oakleigh Chargers Football Club, the Victorian Women’s Cricket Team & the Melbourne Stars. In 2021 he returned to university to study Physiotherapy at Latrobe.

He loves to stay active, regularly running and wanting to be as strong as he can be in the gym. Some new hobbies of his include cycling and golf and he can’t wait to travel around the world again (currently up to 45 countries).

Julia is an Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES) who has a passion for movement and believes exercise is for all. She completed her Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2020, and has experience in Group Fitness while also being an Intermediate Gymnastics Coach. Julia competed in Aerobic Gymnastics for 9 years and was chosen to represent Australia in Phoenix, Arizona, where her Trio was placed first. She now uses her competitive background to teach young children fundamental movements as well as coaching higher level squads.

Julia aims to use her vast knowledge and experience to help people reach their goals, regardless of their abilities. She takes a client centred approach to her coaching and wants to empower others to be strong while appreciating and acknowledging what their bodies are capable of.

Julia will be studying a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University in 2021, where she aims to build on her knowledge and work closely with people with disability and chronic illness to manage pain and use exercise as treatment.

Julia instructs Strength & Conditioning classes and is available for Personal Training, where she can help you achieve your fitness, performance and body composition goals.

Alice is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a holistic approach to diet and nutritional health. Alice strives to provide nutrition advice in a way that is accessible, practical, and enjoyable.

Alice has a keen interest in sports performance and is experienced in providing management and support to clients in a range of areas, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, weight management, cardiovascular health and chronic disease management.

Alice is passionate about dietary change that supports wellbeing while fitting into an existing lifestyle. She enjoys supporting dietary changes that also incorporate wider lifestyle factors into health, including diet, mental, and physical health.

Beth joined the Evado Studios Thornbury in early 2020, and values being part of a team that provides care and support to all people with their health and wellbeing journey. 

Beth enjoys all things food, fitness, and adventure. And, if you catch her mid-meal in the evening, she will always be happy to share the recipe if it takes your fancy. Her love for the outdoors and adventure takes her to great heights (snow hiking Mt Bogong in 2021, in-between lockdowns of course). And a love of fitness means she makes regular appearances in our fitness classes. 

Currently studying Health Science in Naturopathy, Beth is fascinated by the human body and has a deep appreciation for all it does. She believes supporting people in all aspects of their health is a privilege and takes great joy in seeing others achieve their goals.
