Evado approaches its 10th birthday on the 8th day of the 8th month. The number eight, of course, is considered lucky in Asian culture. Its pronunciation ‘ba’ sounds similar to ‘fa’ which signifies prosperity. We are incredibly lucky and humbled to reach this milestone and wish to take this opportunity to reflect on the journey so far.
Our journey commenced in a small Physiotherapy practice at 22 Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East. Our entry into business ownership occurred at a time where the co-existence of Physiotherapy and fitness services ‘under one roof’ was not a familiar concept. As founders of Evado ‘wanting to make a change’, we recall fondly the thought-provoking contribution from our early patrons. A consistent theme made clear to us is that they wanted ‘something more’ than just injury management. The concept of retaining our customers and building longer term relationships challenged us to introduce a fitness program. This enabled patrons to transition from injury management to a fitness journey, and therefore establish the Evado model. We wish to extend our warm gratitude to all our patrons over the ten years.
Our staff, past and present, have done much of the heavy lifting and their terrific work cannot go without mention. Their commitment towards their work and the relationships built with their patrons has only added to the strength of our model. They are the backbone of our service delivery and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their work.
We believe we are only getting started as we look to the future with optimism and luck on our side.
